North Glasgow University Hospitals NHS Trust - Blood Pressure Clinic and Centre for Rheumatic Diseases
AxSys Technology Ltd has been selected by the North Glasgow University Hospitals NHS Trust to provide clinical systems to support their Blood Pressure Clinic and their Centre for Rheumatic Diseases.
AxSys's Excelicare was selected to replace the existing Blood Pressure application that has been in place for over thirty years. It will provide the facility to record all clinical data captured at the initial and review patient visits at the Blood Pressure Clinic as well as data captured by general practitioners at the shared care clinics.
The implementation phase includes the migration of all data from the existing Blood Pressure application.
The module for the Centre for Rheumatic Diseases is an extension to an existing system. The new module will interface with the Trust's existing Excelicare Direct automated telephone based disease management system for rheumatoid arthritis patients.

It will initially enable clinicians to record clinical data on patients with Systemic Sclerosis each time they are reviewed at the clinic. Further to this the module will extend to capture clinical data for patients who attend the Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinic.
The modules created will provide information systems, which will assist in the monitoring of clinical care. In addition comprehensive reporting tools featuring statistical analysis will aid in research projects and also allow clinical audit. Both systems will integrate with the Trust's PAS and Laboratory systems.
