A device that provides multiple pre-failure warnings on medical Gas & Vacuum pressures, thus informing users of impending failure.
This system enables continuous monitoring of Medical Gas & Vacuum Pressures at the bedside.
The proper operation of life support devices such as Respirators and Anaesthesia machines depends on reliable supply and stability of pressure of medical gases. Medical gases are commonly supplied to various hospital departments through the use of a network of pipelines. Traditionally this supply system is monitored through the use of mechanical devices that provide an alarm in the event of failure. When a failure does happen, patients may be exposed to risk while a backup supply system in instituted.
The Gas Monitoring system developed by AxSys is an electronic device that continuously monitors the health of the pipelines and provides multiple pre-failure warnings thereby informing users of impending failure. The portability of this device means that they can be used at multiple points throughout a hospital including at the bedside to provide a very high level of patient safety.
The Gas & Vacuum Pre-failure Alarm System has a RS 232C serial interface that allows communication with printer, PDA, laptop or a desktop computer. It also has a powerful multi dropping RS485 interface for connecting many stations to a Central Monitoring System using a single cable.
